Frohe Group is an industrial partner of FibRe, which is a Vinnova supported competence center with two academic partners, Chalmers Univeristy of Technolog and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, together with twenty industrial and public organizations.

“The FibRe vision is to enable the transition from fossil-based thermoplastics to fully bio-based counterparts, produced in a circular, scalable and sustainable way.

Our goal is to establish a strong research and innovation environment, jointly between academia and industry, enabling the use of lignocellulose as a raw material to create functionalized, recyclable and degradable thermoplastics. This will involve the entire supply chain and contribute to a reduction of human contributed carbon emissions, and – within 10 years – provide substantial steps towards increased resource-efficiency and a circular economy to reach the societal goals of reduction of resource use and pollution along the material life cycle.”
